Job Title: PreConstruction Manager

Job Summary:
A PreConstruction Manager is responsible for overseeing the initial planning and development stages of construction projects. They work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to evaluate project feasibility, develop cost estimates, and create detailed project plans. A PreConstruction Manager plays a key role in setting project goals, timelines, and budgets, as well as identifying potential risks and opportunities early in the project lifecycle. Their focus is on ensuring that projects are well-planned, cost-effective, and aligned with client objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Development:

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers
  • Evaluate project feasibility and regulatory requirements
  • Develop cost estimates, budgets, and schedules
  • Conduct site visits and assessments

Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
  • Analyze project risks and value engineering options
  • Prepare and present pre construction plans to clients
  • Work with project managers and construction teams

Industry Knowledge and Best Practices:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and building codes
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams
  • Ensure project plans are optimized and aligned with objectives.

Key Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Several years of experience in preconstruction management, estimating, or project planning
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirements

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Proficiency in cost estimating, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools
  • Understanding of risk management and value engineering principles

Certifications (Optional but Preferred):

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • LEED accreditation or knowledge of sustainable building practices
  • Any relevant trade certifications or licenses
