Job Title: Construction Manager

Job Summary:
Construction Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing the daytoday operations of a construction project. They focus on managing the construction process, coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Construction Managers are often involved in the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control aspects of the project. They work closely with project stakeholders, such as architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Management:

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress, costs, and performance
  • Conduct site visits and inspections

Team Management:

  • Hire, supervise, and manage construction teams and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Address issues or conflicts that arise during construction process

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Manage project documentation and recordkeeping
  • Report project status, updates, and key metrics to senior management or clients
  • Provide recommendations for improvements or changes as necessary

Key Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Several years of experience in construction management or related field
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Proficiency in project management software
  • Financial acumen for budgeting and contract negotiation

Certifications (Optional but Preferred):

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification
  • LEED accreditation or knowledge of green building standards
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or General Contractor license
