Job Title: Accounting Manager

Job Summary:
An Accounting Manager oversees the financial operations of a company by managing the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, implementing financial policies and procedures, developing budgets and forecasts, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, evaluating and improving accounting systems, and providing leadership and guidance to the team to support the overall financial health and integrity of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Generate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Develop budgets and financial forecasts
  • Monitor financial performance against budget
  • Provide recommendations for financial improvements

Compliance and Controls:

  • Implement financial policies and procedures
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulations
  • Maintain financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy

Systems and Process Improvement:

  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to accounting systems
  • Streamline operations and increase efficiency
  • Enhance financial reporting capabilities

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team

Key Qualifications:

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
  • Supervisory experience in accounting roles

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills for financial analysis
